Product Care

Thank for purchasing one of my Fine Art Prints, Acrylic Prints, Original Artworks, or products from my Lifestyle range (Scarves, Tights or Cushions). As a practising Artist, it brings me great pleasure in knowing that something I have created can have a positive impact on your life or perfectly accent your home or business. I am proud that NONE of my products are mass produced and as such, they need to be treated kindly. Proper care is essential to ensuring that your Artwork (or lifestyle purchase) retains its beauty and value. These recommendations are intended to assist you and are based on our experience and judgment but must not be regarded as amounting to a legal warranty or liability on our part.

Care and Cleaning

1. Prints and Original Works:

Light and humidity are a painting’s worst enemies, so bear both in mind when deciding where to hang any artwork. Position it out of direct light, taking special care not to hang it opposite any windows (If you are hanging a painting in a position where it is hit by direct sunlight for a large part of the day, then you might want to consider having it framed with a glass that protects it from UV light). Other spots to avoid include over a fireplace (because heat and soot tend to rise), and near any bathroom or kitchen sink or stove (because the steam from showers can lead to dampness, warping and even fungus growth). Keep your paintings clean by regularly dusting them gently with a dry cloth, and ensure that any hooks used for hanging are firmly secured to a wall stud. If storing your artwork, please place in a firm poster cylinder taking care only to handle the work with gloves, to avoid damage from acid in fingers.

2. Frameless Acrylic Prints:

Use the hooks provided to hang the frameless acrylic print. Space the hooks evenly along the wall if you have more than one hook (please use all hooks that are provided).

Use a soft damp cloth to clean your acrylic
DO NOT allow excessive heat or sunlight hit the acrylic mounting as this will cause defects in the acrylic
DO NOT hang your acrylic outdoors
DO NOT bend the acrylic mounting or frame as this will cause bubbles
DO NOT place pressure on the acrylic mounting if not on the wall
DO NOT modify or alter the acrylic in any way

3. Scarves:

Hand washing is recommended for your Chiffon and/or Wool scarves. Hand washing is essentially a slow soak in tepid water for ten minutes followed by a rinse in warm water. To get rid of excess water, roll your garment up in a towel and gently press to absorb. Then, using a fresh towel, lay your garment out flat, preferably in the sunshine to dry.

For specific stain removal, please take your garment to a dry cleaner.

Whilst most people prefer to care for their garments at home, some items are labelled as Dry Clean Only. These must be taken to a professional dry cleaner to help retain your garment’s as-new look and feel. Avoid spraying with perfume as this may cause spotting.

4. Cushions:

Dry or Spot Clean Only.
